Yra 3 pavidalų ir konstrukcijų: poriniai (dviejų įstrižai sukryžiuotų lentų), vertikalūs (vienos trumpos lentos) ir mišrūs. Labiausiai paplito XIX a.–XX a. pr. Dabar lėkius galima pamatyti pajūryje, Rytų Lietuvos kaimuose. Buvo naudojami siekiant apsaugoti stogą nuo vėjo, kuris draikydavo šiaudus." (Wikipedia)
"Lėkis is an element of decorating the ridge end of wooden buildings. Made of ornamentally cut boards. Sometimes painted blue, white, brown. There are 3 shapes and constructions: pair ones (two diagonally crossed boards), vertical (one short board) and mixed. Most commonly made in the 19th and 20th centuries. pr. Now lėkiai can be seen on the seaside, in the villages of Eastern Lithuania. They were used to protect the roof from the wind that was sweeping the straw."
